How to clean the inside of your shoes and get rid of the odor

You should clean / wash the inside if your shoes, especially running shoes, casual ones, or every day shoes. Inevitably, your feet sweat more or less, and that activates bacteria which cause odor and transfer to the inner sole of the shoe.

If some of them you  can be put t in the washing machine, other pairs of shoes are more complicated to  be cleaned  inside. You can buy special cleaning solutions  for the inside of the  shoes or you can use  natural ingredients that you have in the house.

How to clean the inside of a shoe:

Take out the removable inner sole of  the  shoe.

Mix one teaspoon of white vinegar with  5 teaspoons of water (keep the proportion in case you need a large amount).

Put a dishwasher sponge  into the mixture and squeeze it to remove excess solution. Wipe the inside of your shoes with this mixture then put the shoes to dry in a cool, well ventilated place.

In the evening after you wore the shoes, sprinkle a teaspoon of baking soda inside  of them an shake to evenly distribute the powder and the shake again  to remove excess. Let it act overnight and gently remove it the next morning with a damp cloth. Or after you wore the shoes apply a commercially  disinfectant spray.

How to get rid of foot odor:

Choose a pair of quality shoes with leather interior and your feet will not smell.

Wears only cotton socks. The plastic overheats, causing excessive sweating and that cause the odor that remain on the inside of your shoes.

Change shoes frequently and store them in a cool airy place. If you wear the same pair of shoes for several days in a row without cleaning them inside your chances to develop an unpleasant odor increase.

Clean indoor shoes, as I have shown above. Clean them whenever needed, depending on the frequency you use them.
